Suzanne McMillan

Founder & Director

AD.ISTD RSA, Anatomy and dance history 

 

Suzi's training began with Scotland’s leading dance schools, The Betty Clarke School of Dance and Sheridan Nicol's Jazz Arts UK. She then went onto Study Musical Theatre at The Edinburgh Theatre School of Dance and Drama. 

​

Suzi's then set her sights on London UK where she graduated with distinction in Performing Arts from Brian Rodgers Performers College. Qualifying professionally in distinction and choreography awards chosen from one of London's leading choreographers to the West End, Stephen Mears.

 

Professionally, Suzi has worked in all aspects of performing arts with prestigious roles in theatre, pop videos, television, cruise, and corporate events. She has worked with acclaimed artists and bands the likes of Lionel Ritchie, Fatboy Slim, Kylie, Rachel Stevens, Josh Wink, and Ash to name a few. Her television credits include The Generation Game, French and Saunders, Top Gear, and BBC 3 The Comedy Show. 

 

Her love of all music and all dance genres has inspired her to bring years of professional experience and training into Fusion Arts.

Alise Hunter

DDE AISTD R.S.A Anatomy and dance history

 

Alise Hunter has been around dance her full life, with her mother being a dance teacher and founder of Footworks Dance Academy in the UK, Alise has been involved In all aspects of the journey and passion of the industry. She began her professional path by training at London’s School for Teachers in Performing Arts and graduated with her Diploma in Dance Instruction. She is a versatile, on the pulse instructor.

​

Specialising in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance; including Ballet, Tap, and Modern Theatre; She has guided many students through exams over the past ten years with 100% pass rate .

​

Her professional experience has found her performing in some of the UK’s most well-known theatres.
With her warm and friendly personality and her talent for education, Alise is a true key member of our team.

Carla Jean Scholtz

Dance Teacher

BA Music in Dance in the Pedagogue Stream

​

From Cape Town South Africa. Her training and development as a dancer began as a young girl at the Eoan Group School of Performing Arts.

 

After Eoan Group, Carla completed her degree in Dance Pedagogy at the University of Cape Town (UCT), majoring in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

 

The highlight of her dance student career is being awarded the opportunity to travel to Australia in 2018 to perform at the Panpapanpalya International Dance Conference, which was a platform established for dancers across the world to showcase their talent for a shared, political objective.

 

Carla's career led her on to film, where she was the lead dancer in the Bring It On 6 Cheerleading film in 2016.

 

Carla's goal is to holistically educate and develop her students through dance and to share their passion together at Fusion Arts.

Aniela Maria Szary

Dance Teacher

Diploma Dance Studies & DDI Qualification 

 

Aniela began dancing at the age of 4 years. She furthered her dance training at the Northern Ballet School where she gained her Diploma in Professional Dance alongside gaining her Diploma in Dance Instruction (D.D.I) Ballet Teaching Qualification.

 

After graduating she began a career in all styles of dance from classical ballet to hiphop & jazz, she went on to perform with Manchester City ballet & other international cruise companies. Aniela has spent the last 9 years teaching dance in the U.A.E. Preparing students for their royal academy of dance examinations & other showcases, which include performances held at Dubai Opera.

 

Aniela is looking forward to teaching new students at Fusion Arts & excited to be joining their wonderful team.

Hana Al Makkawy

Dance Teacher

BA Theater

​

Hana Al Makkawy has been a dancer since the age of 5, having trained in the United Arab Emirates, United States, United Kingdom, and France. She has been a member of Fusion Arts since she was 15 years old as a senior student and student assistant. Hana graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi with a Bachelor of Art in Theater and a minor in Music.

 

From a young age, Hana has had a passion for choreographing. She created, directed, and choreographed her Capstone project, Amplify, choreographed for NYUAD’s half time performance at The Interclassico football match as well as choreographs her own passion projects and concept videos.

 

Hana is currently a dance teacher and supervisor/head coach for the Attitude Dance Club at NYUAD. She has also staged managed recitals and performances at NYUAD and Fusion Arts.

 

She is passionate about dance and its potential to impact both the performer and the audience.
